Today we did a science lesson on materials, solids, liquids and gasses. We performed a drama about what happens when you:freeze a liquid, melt a solid or heat a liquid, then it will create a gas, we all enjoyed the lesson!
Gasses are a free moving mass of particles that can pass through anything, liquids can not go through solids, water and lava are examples of some liquids, solids are things that can’t move on there own.
Gases are a free moving mass of particles tightly packed together that that can pass through anything. Solids are a hard substance that can only be broken by other strong substances e.g. a rock which can sometimes be broken by other rocks. Liquids are also free moving materials and they can’t pass through other things unlike gases.
This afternoon we have been learning about solids, liquids and gases. A solid is for example wood, chairs and food. You can turn solids into liquids through heat.
Liquid: Liquid are stuff what move around for example water, fizzy drinks.
Gas: Gas’s are invisable for example you know when you open a fizzy drink and it makes a nose that is all the gas leaving the bottle after it has been squashed in there for ages.
Solid: solid are things that don’t move like a brick or a statue.
A solid is a mass of particles tightly packed together particles that can be broken by another, but a high fall onto a weak solid will also break it.
A liquid is a mass of far apart particles that can not be broken.
A gas is very free moving mass of particles.
Solids are like bricks, chairs and many hard things.Solids are hard to brake.Liquids move very easily but can not go through things.Gas can move anywhere.Gas can go through everything.
Today we did a science project on liquids, solids and gasses. When you put water in the freezer all the particles stick together, then when you put the ice in the microwave and the ice melts back into water and then tip the water into a bottle and shake the bottle and open the lid and the water turns into gas.
Those plays were really fun but they also wen a bit wrong for are groups went a bit wrong.

it was fun acting out liquids and solid and gases! mia and george
i enjoyed doing this it was very fun!
liquids are different from solids.
This afternoon we have been doing all about solids, liguids and gasses!

Solids are hard things which you can’t break easily so technically they are like bricks. liquids are things that can sometimes move.

I reely enjoid being an ice cube in science.
This is my group they did really good activite.
This activite was great to do today
