Miss Oliver runs the Moorfield Mile!

Here’s a few pictures from last week’s Fitness session. Miss Oliver ran her first Moorfield Mile with Base 5! The children did an excellent job as usual and are all well on their way to completing the Moorfield Marathon. Mrs Harvey is really pleased to see the children’s fitness levels improving week after week.

Ho Ho Ho, Merry Fitness!

From Mrs Harvey and Base 5

Base 7 Christmas Picnic

While the Juniors are eating their Christmas dinner, the infants are busy enjoying a Christmas Picnic in the classroom.

There was a very festive atmosphere in the classroom.

Mrs Hill apologies that some of the photos are almost identical, but we wanted to make sure everyone got in on the act!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

We wish you a Merry Christmas

Because of COVID restrictions, we can’t sing our usual Christmas songs, or have a nativity in school.

This doesn’t mean that the children are missing out completely on Christmas though.

Base 8, our Year One class has learned to sign ” We wish you a Merry Christmas” and we wish to share it with you all.

Merry Christmas – get ready for cuteness overload!

Diwali in Reception

On Friday 13th November we celebrated the Hindu festival of Diwali in school.  Here are a few of the things that Reception got up to, including making Diwali sweets, modelling diyas (small oil lamps), making garlands and Rangoli patterns and decorating the home corner for the festivities!

Base 4 DT

Base 4 have started to create their very own Automata Toy. The spent Thursday using hack saws, using their accuracy skills with measuring and using hand drills.

Apologies for the lopsided photos – Miss Hedges is having trouble with WordPress today and will try again later !
