Do you remember seeing that Declan had a birthday during lockdown and one of his presents was a camera?
Well, he has been taking some lovely photos with it and he sent a few to share with us.
Well done Declan!

Why don’t you all have a go?

Hello Year 2

Your challenge this week is to learn about food chains.
Watch the link below to find out all the information you need.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/z96r82p
Then make your own food chain like the one in the picture.
I look forward to seeing your finished chains on the blog soon.
Keep in touch and stay safe
Missing you all.
Mrs Hill xx

Demi has taken part in the Base 8 Challenge.
Well done Demi!
Louis Mum has watched a short video on BBC Bitesize about Rosa Parks and History this week. Louis also created a Powerpoint about Rosa Parks which we have put on further down in this post.
Also, Louis made a rainbow using dots. He told his Mum that he had done a similar art at school so perhaps some more of you from Base 3 could do the same!
Well done Louis!
Isabelle is really missing her friends so her Mummy and Daddy thought that they would send in a few of her activities so far!
She’s been watching Junior MasterChef so is now helping with every meal in the kitchen.
She’s decorated our whole patio with chalk pictures and become confident riding her bike on her own.
Isabelle has also worked hard on her learning pack so she is also using the computer to make up her own fun learning activities.
Well done Isabelle – We all miss you too!
Good Afternoon Base 8,
We hope that you had a lovely Easter!
Your challenge this week is to learn to tell the time confidently using ‘o’clock’.
In the picture you will see that Mrs Gilbert eats her lunch at 1 o’clock. We know this because the ‘hour hand’ (the shortest one) is pointing to the number 1 and the ‘minute hand’ (the longest one) is pointing to the number 12. We know that when the minute hand (the longest one) is pointing to 12 we can say it is ___ o’clock
We would love to see what you do at 10 o’clock and 4 o’clock on the blog or you can complete the activity that we have set for you on Purple Mash.
Take care and stay safe.
Miss Melaniphy & Mrs Gilbert

Everyone at Moorfield wishes you a Happy Birthday Noah!
Hope you have a really lovely day xx

Fae took on Mrs. Hill’s 3 ingredients challenge and made her speciality lunch – scrambled egg on toast.
Fae uses the microwave to make her scrambled egg. First cracking the eggs into a large bowl, and adding a splash of milk, whisking together and then again lightly after every couple of minutes until it is the right consistency and all the egg is cooked.
Well done Fae! Mr Bussey thinks that he is the expert at scrambled eggs but we think yours look nicer! xx
Hello Reception!
Mrs Branch has sent me another challenge for you this week – hope you enjoy it! Don’t forget to send me your photos and replies! Thank you love Miss Hedges x
MRS BRANCH’S CHALLENGE
Hello Everyone! We hope you had a lovely Easter holiday.
We are back to a phonics challenge this week! Today we are looking at the new sound ‘er’. We know ‘ur’ already, but this ‘er’ loves to be at the end of words for most of the time. Can you use the sound buttons to read the words that I have put up in my garden? One of them is an alien word – can you spot which one it is?
I have also been painting the ‘er’ sound on my patio using a brush and water to help me to remember how to write it. Perhaps you can too.
