Greek day in Base 1
Greek day(s) has been amazing! Children have fully embraced the Ancient Greek way of life…wearing togas, eating Greek food (with varying degrees of food appreciation!) and now making their own Greek vase/ water jug. Zeus would certainly approve!

We had a busy morning preparing for our Greek Feast this afternoon.

Sharing poems with base 4
We found out that base 4 had also been writing firework poems! We got together to share some of our work. It was great to see how brilliant our writing could be in a few years if we work hard in lessons!
Year 2 class assembly
We all worked very hard last week to put on an amazing class assembly! Thank you to everyone who came to watch! Everyone was very impressed with how loud our voices were! You could hear us right at the back!
Marathon plays!
It has to be said that the battle of marathon was a marathon land mark in Greek history…we devised plays and re enacted the key events . We enjoyed watching each other’s plays!

Regular and irregular
Today we have been exploring regular and irregular shapes. We used geoboards to help us create regular and irregular shapes. Here are some Fin and Jodie with theirs.

We have been practising play writing. We made puppets to help us. Today we were treated to a performance of a finished script.
