In class today we made Leanardo da Vinci’s first flying machine. First we had to make our plan for the machines and put how we would make it stronger, we had to tell each other how to make our planes light but also being able to fly. Then we had to make our glider out of lollipop sticks. The hardest part was when the glue kept on coming out of place and ruining our gliders.

France 2014: Journey and first evening
What a long day! We eventually arrived at the Chateau just before tea time today after a very smooth and stress-free journey. The staff are all very proud of the children and how well they coped with such a long journey – we have been complimented several times on their excellent behaviour. After a delicious pasta tea we had some chill out time which included basketball and hanging out in the student common room.
More regular updates throughout the day can be found on the schools twitter account – @moorfieldprim #yr6infrance.
