Jack’s Week

Jack has been super excited doing Mrs Branch and Bonnie’s challenges! He has even helped his sister do them too!

He has been on some lovely walks through Chetwynd Aston fields…  looking out for as many insects as possible and even waved at a helicopter!

Jack and Esme have coloured in a rainbow and placed it in the window for “rainbows in windows”. We walked through Church Aston and found 19 rainbows in windows! Well done everyone!

Jack – Mrs Branch will LOVE the message to her and Bonnie!jack6jackc2jackc4jack7jack4

Home Learning

Lots of the children are working hard at home and Mrs Medhurst has sent a couple of emails about how we are planning things for those who are in school to help a little bit, and also some information about books that you can pick up if you need them.

Just remember to email me (Sue) if you have any queries, and I will pass these on to the teachers for you.

Children who have music lessons in school are also finding new ways to keep up with lessons via Skype or Zoom.

Here are a few of the projects that we have seen coming in this week:

Fresh Air and New Challenges

Time at home in lockdown has given parents and children new challenges.  We are really pleased to see lots of Moorfield children embracing this and learning new skills.

  • This week we have seen Martha and Eve planting cress seeds and receiving a tweet back from Marks and Spencers!
  • Amelia has been learning how to iron
  • Some of the children have had music lessons with Jenny via Zoom or Skype
  • Fliss’s Mum is a keyworker in a school too , so Fliss has been very brave and joined in the activities of another school.

Lots of the children have been making the most of the nice but chilly weather and getting out and about for their daily exercise.

Here are a few of the photos for you to enjoy.

DT – COOKERY

DT is a popular subject in school and we are pleased to see so many children practicing their baking at home.

Those of us in school this week have tasted Alfie B’s creation and confirm it was delicious.  I personally also have my eye on Alfie S’s chocolate cake – it looks delicious!

Well done everyone!

Arts and Crafts

I am amazed at some of the Art and Crafts that has been going on at home.  Thank you for sending in the photos and here are some to share.

Well done Darcey, Alfie, Alix, Mair, Hannah and Megan, Lewis, Thomas, Elliot and Oliver.

Very impressed and lovely messages for keyworkers too!  Thank you for sharing these with us.

George’s Day – Year One

Today George has been working on fractions, completing comprehension exercises, has mastered his 9x tables, has baked some rocky road treats and has been making electrical circuits.

He is missing everyone very very much. He does Joe Wicks everyday and said the other day “Is Joe Wicks as famous as Mrs Harvey? He’s not as good!”

I think that I (Miss Hedges) need to get Mrs Harvey to do her own video workout for everyone!

Well done George – brilliant work!

Preston from Reception

Preston wanted to say hello to all his friends at Moorfield.  He has been completing his schoolwork and been doing some extra tasks.

His favourite has been researching his favourite animals then using the google 3D app to have pictures with them.

We love these Preston!
