In maths today we have been making pancakes. They were delicious. Mr Spencer was in charge of cooking and the class had to use their measuring skills to create the pancakes. We used our fractions to share the fractions.

Today Nicole gave a presentation on South Africa. She had brought lots of books and items from South Africa and had prepared a presentation. Thank you Nicole your presentation was informative and entertaining. 10 house points for doing extra work at home.

This is how I’d like to start every new half term…arriving to school with a gorgeous ‘Hobbit’ cake waiting to be devoured on my desk!

Alyssa and Kathryn have been inspired by The Hobbit and replicated Bilbo Baggins’ hobbit hole, and I, and the rest of Base 1 Literacy, can indeed say it was as good, if not better, than a seed cake!
