We have been designing and making gift bags! We have discovered that Mrs Wiser is not that good at sewing but most of us are fantastic! We are brilliant sewers.

As part of design and technology during theAutumn term, year 5/6 have designed bags. They have made their pattern before cutting out the fabric of choice. We have tested our sewing skills and when finished the bags will contain festive treats, which we will be making.

Today in assembly we lit the first candle in our advent wreath. The children learnt about what each candle represented.

At home we made a trebuchet out of knex and an allastic band. It fires automatically and it can fire knex cogs. we also aimed it at some targets made of paper and a wheel.

30.11.12 Kayban Jack and Henry solved a tricky problem but they solved it by making a 4×4 cube out of unifix blocks, here it is below.

This weeks stars of the week have been selected for enthusiasm, great acting skills, literacy work and for being a brilliant team player.

We were very fortunate that the children were able to get hands on with parts of uniform worn by a police officer on an every day basis.
