As part of design and technology during theAutumn term, year 5/6 have designed bags. They have made their pattern before cutting out the fabric of choice. We have tested our sewing skills and when finished the bags will contain festive treats, which we will be making.
What did you enjoy most? What skills have you developed / learnt?

I enjoyed all of the sewing, but some times it can be difficult though! I learnt how to make all sorts of bags with different types of material.
i learnt how to end a piece of thread . I totally loved this cant wait to make the chocolates
i loved making my bag me and baylee made the same bag, it was red on the back and on the front it was like a leave pattern. if you look at the pictures then you will see my bag. i agree with eve i cant wait to make the truffels! i learnt that the stiches had to be small otherwise you would be able to see the holes in the bag.
Loved making them too Erin, I really liked the pattern that we used as well. It was a bit annoying that the needles hole was tiny though.
I found it amazing sometimes it is hard to do the sewing but it is really fun to do I did a green,orange and red bag i cant wait till the truffles.

WOW!!!!! you must of had a great time sowing your bags . how colourful where there?
It was quite a challange for me , but I still enjoyed making the bags. Getting the thread through the hole was really difficult.
It was really fun and i enjoyed helping at least everyone anyway although there was hardly any time for me to complete mine i did yay. I definately developed my sewing, casting off and tying knots. :D!
