As part of our topic day, the children have looked at tsunami’s and how they work.
They have created wordles that represent vocabulary associated with tsunami’s. they also created their own tsunami’s in the classroom.
What did you learn about tsunamis?


The first picture shows the second surge of water which is the most deadliest. Waves up to 20 feet tall hit land causing devastation and destruction up to a mile inland.
I learnt quite alot of information that I didn’t know here’s a bit:
Did you know that tsunamis can go up to 100-300 ft tall
I enjoyed learning about the tsunamis, and had fun playing with the model! I now know more about the disaster.
I found out that everyone in our class (23 people) could make the same hight as a 100ft tsunami
This was a really good to way learn what tsunamis look like
i wish i could be there it looked really fun
The base 2 tsunami was absolutly awesome!
I enjoyed learning about tsunamis we found out they can go up to 100feat high

But I did not like the part were we wached all the clips because you see lots of people pass away. :,(

disaster day was so interesting as we created a mini tsunamis, making and filming a repot after a earthquake go see the class room! My favourite is making and exploding the volcanos! π
