Today Reception had their first visit to the forest and had a wonderful time! Children will have their ‘Treetop Thursday’ time every Thursday afternoon, so if your child has not yet bought in a pair of wellies, could we have them for next week? Many thanks…..
We would like to share some pictures of Base 5 from last week when the children explored our Ancient Egypt topic books. (Most of!) the children loved finding out about mummification!
Year 2 have taken part in a very special walk around the local area.
As we were learning to find our way around Newport as part of our Geography topic, we also paid our respects to the late Queen.
We went into Twigs flower shop and they very kindly gave us some flowers, which we later laid at The Buttercross. We also popped into the Guildhall to write in the book of condolence.
We were very happy to welcome our new Reception class on 7th September and they have settled in really well.

The Year 5’s have been investigating how to make recipes healthier and made some healthy swaps to a basic spaghetti bolognese recipe.
They cooked the healthiest new recipes in teams today and enjoyed tasting them for an early lunch.
There was even enough to take some home for tea!
